CoffeeFixManual is an independent technical reference for consumer coffee equipment maintenance and repair. We write the guides that should have shipped with the machine — specific, actionable, and technically accurate enough to actually resolve the problem. No generic advice, no manufacturer boilerplate, no "have you tried turning it off and on again."
The site covers six machine brands across espresso, pod, drip, and single-serve categories. Every guide is written to answer one specific question completely, with component-level detail that manufacturer documentation deliberately omits.
Our technical specifications are sourced from three methods, and we document which applies on each page:
Field measurement. Component dimensions (gasket OD/ID/thickness, needle bore diameters, O-ring sizes) are measured directly from disassembled machines using digital calipers. Where we publish a dimension, we have measured it. Manufacturer documentation does not publish these figures — they exist on this site because someone measured them.
Firmware and hardware analysis. Button sequences, reset procedures, and firmware behavior (such as the K-Elite descaling counter reset, the Nespresso two-phase descaling state machine, or the Oracle's hidden temperature offset menu) are identified through systematic testing. Where a procedure is not in the manufacturer's documentation, we say so explicitly.
Cross-reference with known aftermarket parts. Specifications confirmed by matching against precision aftermarket components (IMS baskets, ULKA pump specs, standard O-ring catalogs) are noted as cross-referenced rather than directly measured.
A guide titled "Keurig K-Elite descale sensor error" answers exactly that question for exactly that model — not a generic overview that applies to every Keurig.
Every published guide contains at least one piece of information not in the manufacturer's documentation — a dimension, a firmware behavior, a failure mode the manual doesn't acknowledge. If we can't add value beyond what the manual already says, we don't publish the page.
Word count is determined by the complexity of the repair. A 600-word guide that fully resolves the issue is better than a 1,500-word guide that repeats itself.
When a published specification or procedure is found to be incorrect, we update the guide and note the correction. Use the contact form to submit technical corrections with supporting evidence.
