Moccamaster (Technivorm) machines are built in the Netherlands to an unusually high standard for consumer drip equipment. They are also unusually repairable — Technivorm sells every component individually, and the machines are designed for user-level service. Most faults are caused by scale accumulation on the copper heating element, a clogged copper showerhead arm, or user-variable issues (dose weight, grind size).
Moccamaster Serviceability Note
Every component of every Moccamaster machine is available as a spare part directly from Technivorm. The heating element, showerhead arm, thermal carafe, brew basket, and switch assembly can all be ordered individually. This is exceptionally unusual for consumer kitchen appliances — it is the primary reason a well-maintained Moccamaster can last 20+ years.
